About Bamileke
One of the largest ethnic groups in Cameroon, known for complex chiefdoms, intricate beaded royal masks, and the Nguon ceremony. Renowned entrepreneurs, the Bamileke dominate commerce across Cameroon and the diaspora.
About Bamoun
Founded the Bamoun Kingdom around the 14th century. Sultan Ibrahim Njoya (1860–1933) invented the Bamum script (A-Ka-U) and a written history of his people — one of only a few independently invented writing systems in history.
